Second is education for health, welfare and family planning. The third kind is education for civic, political and community competence. The fourth type is education for self-fulfillment. This refers to those programs that aim primarily at learning for the sake of learning rather than achieving academic aims. Finally, the fifth type of adult education is remedial education. This refers to fundamental and literacy education, which means the prerequisite for all other kinds of adult education.
Benefits of Adult Education There are two kinds of benefits that you can get from Adult Education. First, is the benefit you can get could be applied in your workplace. If you had learned new skills, had gone to seminars and acquire new information, it could directly and indirectly help you in improving your performance at work.
In fact, studies show that employers, who had undergone any kind of adult education, had showed improvement in the quality of work, team performance and capacity to learn new skills. Additionally, studies found outthose adults who are over age 25, which had completed one adult education program, i.e. GED, earns an average of $7,400 more per year than those adults without high-school diploma. Thus, undergoing any kinds of adult education could definitely help you to be promoted in your work and could help you in earning more money.
Furthermore, undergoing into any kinds of adult education, you might not be able to realize it first, but it could give you a lot of advantage in with your children's education.Studies show that children, whose mothers have high education levels, stays in school longer than those children whose mothers had low levels of education. Additionally, studies shows that mothers who had higher levels of education tend to help their children in tutoring. In fact, one study shows the substantial relationship between parent involvement and reading comprehension levels.
When parent involvement is low, children scored an average of 46 points below the national average in reading. But when parent involvement is high, children scored 28 points above the national average in reading. With the discussions above, it is significant to note the many advantages an adult can have if you pursue or continue your education. Your family will not only benefit from your undertaking in adult education but also your work.
